Recipe: Melting Moments


I was craving melting moments the other day and I just had to make some! They are sooo good.

Melting Moments

Ingredients:

200g butter, softened
¾ cup icing sugar
1 cup Edmonds standard plain flour
1 cup Edmonds Fielder’s cornflour
½ teaspoon Edmonds baking powder
Butter icing or raspberry jam

Method:

Cream butter and icing sugar until light and fluffy.
Sift flour, cornflour and baking powder together. Mix into creamed mixture, mixing well.
Roll dough into small balls the size of large marbles and place on a greased oven tray.
Flatten slightly with a floured fork. Bake at 180°C for 20 minutes or until cooked.
Cool and sandwich two biscuits together with Butter Icing and raspberry jam.
Enjoy. Make sure you take one whole uncooked ball and eat it, the mixture is so yum!

Ahh I just found the best tumblr ever!!

South Island: Wanaka









Wanaka would have to be one of the highlights of our South Island trip. We didn't stay long, but we cooked our dinner right beside the lake and enjoyed a lovely evening walk.

Home Decor: Hydrangea Blue




I absolutely love blue and white.. I've been pinning some great finds lately and thought I might start organising my pins into a kind of mood board - who knows, it might become a regular feature! Let me know what you think.

My inspiration today comes from beautiful pastel blue hydrangeas - my favourite flower ever.

South Island: Queenstown and Glenorchy

Queenstown is an amazing place to visit, if you are ever in New Zealand. The town is full of amazing cafes, restaurants and bars (including an ice bar!), and around Queenstown you can sky dive, bungy jump, ride the luge, paraglide, and downhill mountain bike. Its not so much fun if you're trying to save your pennys though, so we didn't spend too much time there. We camped out at Glenorchy, a pretty little place at the tip of Lake Wakatipu, nestled amongst the snow-capped mountains. Its was so beautiful!!

Its a popular place for overseas tourists. Have you ever been there?

Date Night at the Park




What I'm wearing: Skirt, belt and sunglasses from Glassons (Yep, most days I'm a walking advertisement for that store), top from Temt, sandals from Wild Pair.

These photos were taken a while ago now, back when the days were longer and bare legs were a thing.  The hubby and I shared a pizza in the park and then took a walk around the rose garden.  These days we're struggling to find interesting things to do together as it gets dark not long after hubby gets home from walk and its too cold outside to be enjoyable.  

Anyone have any ideas?

South Island: Arrowtown








On our trip down South we visited the lovely little town of Arrowtown.  The first photo is at the very first bungy-jumping site in the world and the rest are around Arrowtown.  It is a very quaint old gold-mining town set amongst the mountains and there are so many gorgeous stone buildings and cottages.  We spent the afternoon wandering around the shops and relaxing in the local cafes.
