South Island: Collingwood and Havelock

These are some pics from our last few days in the South Island. The top of the South Island has to have some of the most beautiful beaches in New Zealand, and they are so secluded. I don't even know if I should be telling you guys this! I'm probably giving away some of New Zealand's best kept secrets.
We had breakfast at a gorgeous seaside cafe in CollingwoodThe cutest little chocolate shop! Love the paint job. After begging the husby to pull over every time I saw a 'real fruit icecream' sign he finally gave in on the very last day of our trip. Love a good boysenberry frozen yoghurt!
Beautiful scenery

This photo was taken on the last night of our trip. We were travelling back to Picton to catch the ferry and stopped in Havelock to cook up the salmon we caught that day for our dinner. So yummy!

South Island: Queenstown and Glenorchy

1-3: New Zealand's playground: Queenstown
4: Enjoying cocktails in the ice bar
5-9: The beautiful Glenorchy

Queenstown is an amazing place to visit, if you are ever in New Zealand. The town is full of amazing cafes, restaurants and bars (including an ice bar!), and around Queenstown you can sky dive, bungy jump, ride the luge, paraglide, and downhill mountain bike. Its not so much fun if you're trying to save your pennys though, so we didn't spend too much time there. We camped out at Glenorchy, a pretty little place at the tip of Lake Wakatipu, nestled amongst the snow-capped mountains. Its was so beautiful!!

Its a popular place for overseas tourists. Have you ever been there?

South Island: Duvauchelle

Duvauchelle is another little village in the Akaroa harbour.  While Akaroa itself was lovely, we camped up for the night here in Duvauchelle as it was a lot cheaper.

It was a lovely place, and we stayed in a very laid-back type of camp ground.

On the way back we stopped off at an orchard and feasted on the most delicious cherries and apricots!

Let's go Glamping!

Right now, we are travelling around the South Island in our camper.  Ever since we bought her I've been drooling over vintage campers and caravans.  I would love to open up a shop in a colourful vintage caravan one day!!

Trust me, ours looks nothing like these but maybe the next one will!

Which is your fave? I love the pretty blue and yellow one.
