Who are you?

I’ve recently gained a lot of new followers, yay!  While I have developed good relationships with some of my regular blog readers who have been with me from the beginning, I have no idea who most of you are.  I’ve seen ‘get to know your readers’ posts on other blogs and I think it’s an awesome idea!   I’d love for you to answer some questions for me.

1.  Are you a regular reader?

2.  Are you a new reader or have you been here for a while?

3.  What do you like most about my blog?

4.  What do you like least?

5.  Tell me about YOU! Where are you from, what are your     interests and are you a blogger? If so, leave your link below!

I can’t wait to read your comments! I know there are a lot of you who have never commented, so come on, don’t be shy!

Smudge Saturday: Lazy day

Today is super hot. Its meant to be autumn but it still feels like the middle of summer! Smudge has been chilling out inside in the bedroom with the window open.

The hubby has been working hard on the kitchen renovation all week and I've been buried in books so this arvo we decided to head away to Hawkes Bay!

What do you all have planned? Are you celebrating St Patrick's Day?

South Island: Christchurch City

1-5: Container mall in the center city

6: Punting on the Avon river

7: Beautiful Sumner beach

On our trip down south we visited a friend in Christchurch.  You may have heard about the devastating earthquake that hit Christchurch City back in 2011.  While there is still a lot of work to be done, the city has done a great job at keeping things going, and there is a super cool container mall in the centre of the city.  While it was originally meant to be temporary, there is talk of keeping it as a permanent shopping area! It think it's a great idea.

We had a wander around the mall and then headed out to Sumner beach.  Sumner was one of the worst-hit areas with a lot of houses now unliveable, but the beach was lovely.

New York dreaming

Sometimes when I sleep I dream of living in a loft in New York.. an old industrial-type building that has been converted into an open-plan apartment.

Of course, when I wake up and find myself in a small-town cottage, the logical thing to do is extend my dream by turning to the ever-faithful Pinterest.  Pinterest is basically a place where dreams are at your fingertips, an online pinboard of hope and inspiration.  Is it just me who is addicted?

Which is your fave? I love number 7, I love the way the red brick contrasts with the softness of the bed.
